The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

THE CURE

The Cure are having a big year, thanks to their Disintegration 30th anniversary celebration, but unfortunately they haven't been playing many shows in North America, which makes any chance to see them here worth it, and maybe worth traveling for. They were recently here for their own Pasadena Daydream festival in California (watch their full set), and they're returning for this weekend and next weekend's editions of Austin's ACL Festival. In between, they'll play Mexico City on October 8 with The Twilight Sad, Rey Pila, and Violet Vendetta. Those are their only upcoming dates at the moment.

RAM DASS

Spiritual teacher, psychologist, and psychedelic explorer Ram Dass is subject of a new documentary, Becoming Nobody, which is "structured around a heartwarming interview between [director Jamie] Catto and Ram Dass and extensive archival footage from past Ram Dass teachings. [...] Ram Dass has already guided a generation of seekers and this film, with its focus on the dangers of our modern fixation on ego and the joy of releasing judgment of difference, renews his teachings for a new generation in need." The film made its New York premiere last month at the Rubin Museum of Art, and this weekend (October 4-6) the Rubin Museum will host three special screenings that also include Q&As with Jamie Catto. Tickets include free all-day access to the museum. Earlier this year, Portland musician East Forest (aka Trevor Oswalt) released an album that was born out of conversations between East Forest and Ram Dass, and featured contributions from Laura Bid of Mynabirds and Stic of Dead Prez. Here's the trailer for the new documentary:

He's also been touring like crazy, and he has more dates coming up, including weekend two of ACL Fest, Rolling Loud NYC, Day N Vegas, and several dates overseas. All dates here.
