EMPRESS OF opening for BLOOD ORANGE

Empress Of is gearing up to release her sophomore LP Us later this year, and she’ll soon be joining Blood Orange for some of his upcoming tour dates across the western US, in support of the great Negro Swan. This includes some shows in Seattle, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and others. View all updated dates here.

TAKING BACK SUNDAY

Taking Back Sunday have announced their fifth annual holiday shows happening at NJ’s Starland Ballroom, which are currently their only dates besides a Tell All Your Friends set at an Australian festival in 2019. More info here.

ANEMONE

Montreal’s Anemone just shared a new single and has announced fall tour dates, which include a visit to the Halifax Pop Explosion, then dates in Europe and then a stop in NYC (Public Arts on 11/9) on the way home. Head here for all the dates.

PRINCESS NOKIA

Princess Nokia released her “emo mixtape” A Girl Cried Red back in April, and she has a few events coming up in September, including a free Puerto Rico fundraiser/signing at NYC’s Rough Trade on 9/9, where fans are encouraged to bring food, supplies, and equipment to help those affected by Hurricane Maria. She’ll also be appearing at the second annual Genius IQ/BBQ event in NYC on 9/8, and Music Tastes Good festival in Long Beach, CA on 9/29-9/30.

KINSKI

Seattle spacerock vets Kinski are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year and are set to release new album Accustomed to Your Face on October 12 via Kill Rock Stars. You can listen to two songs off the album below. Kinski will be touring the West Coast this fall, including dates with with Feral Ohms. All dates are listed here.

BRIGID MAE POWER

Irish folk singer Brigid Mae Power has more dates coming behind this year’s gorgeous The Two Worlds. She’s touring Europe with Damien Jurado (a great double bill), and then returning to the US for a Brooklyn show on 11/8 at Wonders of Nature. That’s a one-off for now. All dates here.

KATH BLOOM

In addition to giving the first-ever vinyl reissues to the classic ’80s albums she made with Loren Connors, cult psych-folk singer Kath Bloom has some upcoming Northeast shows, including a headlining Brooklyn show, the Connecticut stop of Destroyer’s solo tour, and more.

TRAVIS SCOTT

In addition to making a surprise appearance at the Drake show at MSG last night, Travis Scott has expanded his own tour, adding a second MSG show.
