The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

THE FLAMING LIPS

The Flaming Lips have added more 2020 dates to their schedule, including special Soft Bulletin shows in Portland, OR on April 13 and Dallas, TX on April 19 where they’ll be backed by full orchestras and choirs. They’ve also got dates in June, including LA, San Francisco, Colorado and more, and UK festival dates. Head here for all dates and tickets.

THE WEEKND

The Weeknd‘s new album, After Hours, drops March 20 via XO/Republic, and he’s announced a summer and fall tour supporting it.

THE RECEIVING END OF SIRENS

Proggy, experimental post-hardcore collective The Receiving End of Sirens announced this week that they were doing their first shows in eight years as part of a co-headlining run with Envy on the Coast. They’ve since added dates, including a second Boston show. All dates are here.

LOVERS & FRIENDS FEST (2ND DAY ADDED)

Strangely controversial but ultimately legitimate Los Angeles festival Lovers & Friends added a second day to its 2020 edition which has almost the same lineup as the first.

THE MAKE-UP

Ian Svenonius’ band The Make-Up have a few Midwest dates in March: Pittsburgh on 3/4 with The Gotobeds; Cleveland on 3/5 with The 3D Band; Detroit on 3/6 with The Mauskovic Dance Band; and Chicago on 3/7 with Deadbeat Beat. Svenonius in any incarnation is worth seeing but The Make-Up’s brand of garage, soul and post-punk is especially hot.

PUNK ROCK BOWLING AFTERPARTIES

Late shows and afterparties have been announced for Punk Rock Bowling, which goes down in Downtown Las Vegas from May 21-25. Artists playing afterparties include Hepcat, Doom, The Unseen, Guttermouth, The Bombpops, Television, Ceremony, Automatic, Riverboat Gamblers, Svetlanas, A Giant Dog, The English Beat, Dr. Know, Andrew WK, Har Mar Superstar, Dune Rats, Drakulas, The Professionals, Anti-Nowhere League, Mariachi El Bronx, MDC, Peelander-Z, and more.

JIMMY WEBB

Writer of such classics as “Wichita Lineman,” “By the Time I Get to Phoenix”, “Wichita Lineman”, “Galveston”, “MacArthur Park,” “Up, Up and Away” — not to mention one of the great books on pop songwriting — Jimmy Webb is a true legend. Jimmy’s 2020 schedule include a show in Ponte Vedra tonight, plus spring dates in Cincinnati, State College (PA), DC, Philly, Ann Arbor and more, and a September date in Nashville. Head here for all dates.

BLACK FLAG

Greg Ginn’s current version of Black Flag continue to frequently tour, and they’ve currently got plans to be on tour all year, with shows all across the US and in Mexico, South America, and more.
