tours announced: Halo Maud, David Byrne, David Berman (Silver Jews), more

The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

HALO MAUD

French psych pop musician Halo Maud, who used to be a member of Melody’s Echo Chamber, released her very impressive, lush debut LP Je Suis Une île last year (stream it below). She’s now set to head this way for her first ever North American tour, which begins in June, starting with two NYC dates (Coney Island Baby on 6/12 and Lincoln Center on 6/13 as part of France Rocks fest), before three Canadian dates in Montreal, Toronto, and Quebec City. Find all dates here, and below you can stream her recent, haunting cover of Deerhoof’s “Cast Off Crown,” which is far more ethereal than the glitzy original.

PURPLE MOUNTAINS (DAVID BERMAN OF SILVER JEWS)
