DIANE CLUCK

The highly-unique and always-great folk singer Diane Cluck has a handful of tour dates coming up this summer and fall, including an Asheville show with Purple Mountains and headlining shows in NYC (9/20 at Trans-Pecos); Kingston, NY (9/28 at The Beverly); Providence; Pittsburgh; and more. LLOYD COLE

Lloyd Cole will be back this month with his first album in six years, titled Guesswork and marks the first time he’s worked with his former Commotions bandmates Neil Clark and Blair Cowan since the final Commotions album, 1987’s Mainstream. He’s just announced a few U.S. dates on the East Coast playing Montclair, NJ’s Outpost in the Burbs on September 13, Sellersville, PA’s Sellersville Theatre on 9/14 and DC’s City Winery on 9/15. Lloyd’s also got UK dates and all are listed here and you can check out the video for first single “Violins” below:

ECM RECORDS at 50

Legendary jazz label ECM Records turns 50 this year, and there’s a 50th anniversary celebration happening on November 1 and 2 at Lincoln Center with a stacked lineup including Meredith Monk, Joe Lovano, Craig Taborn, Vijay Iyer, Avishai Cohen, Ravi Coltrane, Bill Frisell, Nik Bartsch, Larry Grenadier, Wadada Leo Smith, Anja Lechner, Ethan Iverson, Enrico Rava, Egberto Gismonti and Jack DeJohnette. BLACK MIDI

UK band Black Midi just released their terrific debut album. and will be on tour around Pitchfork fest, and then again this fall for a longer trek. They’ve added more dates, including a new NYC show.

BOY HARSHER

Darkwave synthpop duo Boy Harsher have expanded their fall tour, and have added a second NYC happening September 18 at Bowery Ballroom. That’s one day after their 9/17 show at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg. Both shows are with Olivia Neutron-John who are on the first leg of the tour, while SPELLLING open the second leg. IGGY AZALEA

Iggy Azalea is releasing her new album In My Defense on July 19 via Bad Dreams/EMPIRE, and she’s celebrating with two headlining US shows: LA’s Fonda Theatre on 7/19 and NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on 7/24. She’s also playing the All-Star Beach Party on 7/26 in Las Vegas with headliner Snoop Dogg.

HOLLERADO

Canadian band Hollerado are calling it quits at the end of the year but are going on a lengthy farewell tour before doing so. Dates below the border include Chicago, Minneapolis, Brooklyn (Baby’s All Right on 11/6), and Buffalo. TENNIS SYSTEM

L.A. shoegazers Tennis System have new album Lovesick on the way and have just announced a few West Coast tour dates in July. Dates kick off July 17 in Portland and then hit Seattle, San Francisco, L.A. and San Diego. The L.A. and Seattle shows are with Austin’s Ringo Deathstarr. Head here for all dates.

BLU ANXXIETY

Blue Anxxiety, the gothy NYC group that includes ex members of Anasazi, have a couple upcoming shows: they’ll play as part of the Market Hotel 7/25 show featuring  Lil Ugly Mane, Section H8, The Fight and Royal Hounds; and open for post-punk vets Rubella Ballet at Brooklyn Bazaar on August 22. Fans of Sisters of Mercy and The Chameleons will want to check out Blu Anxxiety’s “Baptised in Space” single which came out in February:

DEAD & COMPANY

Dead & Company just wrapped up their summer tour and announced the 2020 edition of Playing in the Sand.

KOOL KEITH

Kool Keith’s anticipated new album KEITH comes out this Friday on Mello Music Group and he’s also playing Rockaway Beach’s ROCK! AWAY! music festival that same day. He also has shows in Chicago, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and possibly more TBA.

TANYA TUCKER

Country icon Tanya Tucker is gearing up to release her first album of all-new material in August and the record was co-produced by Brandi Carlile (who co-wrote most of the album) and Shooter Jennings. In addition to her ongoing tour, Tanya’s added special, intimate release shows in Nashville, L.A. and NYC.
