GUERILLA TOSS

Brooklyn ragtag post-punk dance outfit Guerilla Toss, whose most recent album, GT Ultra, came out via DFA, are playing Brooklyn’s Union Pool every Tuesday in June. June 12 features Baltimore’s Wume and DJ Nick Forte; June 19 has Portland’s Jaw Gems, and DJ Hara Kiri; and June 26 features Kalbells and Outlier DJs. INTERPOL

Interpol just announced their new album Marauder, which they made with producer Dave Fridmann. They also announced new tour dates, including high profile shows in Los Angeles (Hollywood Bowl on 10/4 with The Kills and Sunflower Bean) and NYC (Madison Square Garden on 2/16/2019 vwith Car Seat Headrest and Snail Mail). There’s a BrooklynVegan presale for the MSG show.  Before those they’ll play Brooklyn’s House of Vans in August, and Chicago’s Riot Fest in September.

CULLEN OMORI

Former Smith Westerns frontman Cullen Omori will release his new album The Diet on August 17 via Sub Pop. You can check out the first single, “Happiness Reigns,” below. He’ll be on a Adult Swim-presented tour with The Pillows in July, including two sold-out NYC shows. All dates and ticket links are here.

BONNIE PRINCE BILLY

Will Oldham has been busy this year finally, slowly, putting his deep catalog of albums up on streaming services, but he’s also got live dates on his schedule, including a Northeast solo run this weekend. There are also Bonny Prince Billy tour dates this fall including a NYC show at Murmrr Theatre on 10/11which BrooklynVegan currently has a presale for. Also coming this fall: a book of Oldham’s lyrics.

GORILLAZ

Speaking of presales, BrooklynVegan has one for Gorillaz’s show at Barclays Center this fall with The Internet. (It runs till 10 PM tonight, 6/7.) All tour dates are here.

MOANING

California’s shoegazy Moaning have a new video for “Misheard” from their Sub Pop debut which was made by Steve Smith — watch it below. The band recently wrapped up a tour with Preoccupations and are in Europe as we speak. They’re stopping in Brooklyn on the way home to play Elsewhere Zone One on June 21 with Painted Zeros and Patio.
