FATHER

Awful Records artist Father is back with another of his charmingly weird singles, and he also announced a fall headlining tour beginning in LA on 9/26 at Catch One and ending in Brooklyn on 10/15 at Elsewhere (all dates and tickets here).

CRACKER / CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN

David Lowery will once again take both his groups, Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven, on a winter tour, starting December 27 in Fairfield, CA and then hitting Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Petaluma and Los Angeles, and then starting again on January 16 in the Boston area, and then hitting DC, NYC (Sony Hall on 1/19), Athens, GA and more. JOHN MORELAND

Country and folk artist John Moreland has dates this fall, including Springfield and Columbia, Missouri, as well as Peoria, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Alexandria, NYC (opening for Tedeschi Trucks Band at Beacon Theatre on 10/2), and Garwood, NJ. Head here for all dates.

HAYDEN THORPE (WILD BEASTS)

Former Wild Beasts co-frontman Hayden Thorpe released his first solo album earlier this year and will be back in the U.S. this fall for a couple intimate shows, playing Brooklyn’s National Sawdust on November 5 and Los Angeles’ Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on November 8.

RL GRIME with BAAUER and more

LA trap/EDM/etc beatmaker RL Grime is heading out on tour this year, and while some dates are still TBA, a few have already been revealed including a Brooklyn show on September 27 with fellow dancefloor movers Baauer and Jackal. All dates and tickets here.

LETTERS TO CLEO / SPEEDY ORTIZ

Ben Wyatt’s favorite alt-rock band Letters To Cleo reunited for new music and touring a few years ago, and they remain active. This fall, they’ll hit the road with one of today’s best indie rock hands, Speedy Ortiz, including shows in DC, Rhode Island, and Boston. All dates and tickets here.

LADY LAMB

In addition to opening The New Pornographers’ tour this year (including the NYC show on 11/7 at Brooklyn Steel), Lady Lamb will be playing some headlining dates, including shows in Kingston, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; Charlottesville, VA; Charlotte, NC; Portsmouth, NH; Burlington, VT; and more. She also put out a new video for “Little Flaws” off this year’s very good Even In The Tremor. All dates here.

ALLAH-LAS

Allah-Las have added release shows for their new album, LAHS, in Los Angeles and NYC in September, and they’ll be out on a full North American tour in the fall.

THE ZOMBIES

Before their tour with Brian Wilson, The Zombies have headline dates this month.

PHARMAKON

NYC noise artist Pharmakon has added a hometown release show to her tour supporting her upcoming album Devour.

SANCTION / QUEENSWAY / VATICAN / FUMING MOUTH

This four-band metallic hardcore bill hits the road this fall.

KENAN THOMPSON

SNL‘s longest-running cast member has scheduled two intimate Brooklyn shows for this December.

TOM MORELLO

Before heading out on his fall tour, Tom Morello is doing three nights off stories and music at Off-Broadway theater Minetta Lane. All dates and more info here.

HANGMAN

Long Island hardcore band Hangman are releasing their debut full-length, One By One, on September 20 via Flatspot Records, and the tough-as-nails new single “One Mistake” is out now. They’ve also got tour dates coming up, including the Connecticut stop of the Harms Way / Portrayal of Guilt / Fuming Mouth tour this Friday, August 16 (no Jesus Piece on that show), a Long Island release show on 9/27 with Life’s Question and Billy Club Sandwich, Brooklyn’s Kingsland with Madball and Cro-Mags JM on 9/28, and more.
