THE GET UP KIDS (CANCELLATIONS & MORE)

The Get Up Kids unfortunately had to cancel their September tour with Cloud Nothings, but will still do their July tour and play Riot Fest. They write, “Hello friends. We’ve got some bad news. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we’re going to have to cancel the September leg of our US tour except for Codfish Hollow and Riot Fest. We hope (knock on wood) to be able to make it back to your town before the end of the year. Refunds will be available wherever you bought your ticket. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and are grateful for your understanding. Stay tuned for new tour dates as soon as they are confirmed.” They’ve also added a Hawaii show for October. All dates here.

HELMS ALEE (WITH EARTH & JAWBOX)

Psychedelic sludge metallers Helms Alee are on tour now with Earth (and hitting NYC tonight), and after this run is over, they’ll open the Portland and Seattle dates of Jawbox’s reunion tour. All dates here.

ALDOUS HARDING

Having released her great new album, Designer, earlier this year, Aldous Harding will be on tour in North America this fall. Dates begin on September 24 in Chicago and take her through the end of October in Los Angeles with stops in Toronto, Boston, Philly, Atlanta, San Francisco, Seattle, the Pop Montreal fest, and more.

LAFAWNDAH

Electronic art pop artist Lafawndah released a new video and added new tour dates today, including a show at Bushwick’s new Sultan Room at Turk’s Inn. All dates and video here.

Brooklyn punk funk stalwarts !!! (chk chk chk) have a new album out in August and will be on tour starting September 25 in Los Angeles and wrapping up October 19 in Pittsburgh.

KEVIN MORBY DUO / WILLIAM TYLER

Kevin Morby wrapped up the North American portion of his Oh My God tour last week, and is now off to to London, Paris, Hamburg, Stockholm and other European cities. He’ll be back in the U.S. in time for Newport Folk Fest in July and he’ll also play the East Coast Woodsist Festival in late September. Before Woodsist, he’ll head out on a tour of intimate venues as the Kevin Morby Duo. which is Kevin and saxophonist Cochemea Gastelum who was on the OMG tour. Opening will be William Tyler. THE DICKIES

Punk vets The Dickies have a bunch of upcoming tour dates, including a run with The Queers, July 4 in Reno with The Spits, Halloween in NYC, San Francisco with Black Flag and D.I. in December, and more.

MARK MULCAHY (MIRACLE LEGION / POLARIS)

Miracle Legion/Polaris frontman Mark Mulcahy has a new solo album out in July and will be touring starting in August.

Classic rock impressionists Sheer Mag announced a new album and tour today.

FALLOW LAND

Ann Arbor, MI post-rock/emo band Fallow Land are prepping their Matt Bayles-produced debut album for Spartan Records, and they’ll also support it on tour.

SUN KIL MOON

Mark Kozelek has announced new North American Sun Kil Moon dates for September, including stops in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Chicago, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Nashville, Asheville and Sellersville, PA.
