AN HORSE

Australian duo An Horse returned earlier this year with the great Modern Air, their first LP in eight years, and, after heading out on a tour across Germany later this month, they’ll be returning to the US for some Northeastern shows in July. Dates kick off with a stop at Brooklyn’s Elsewhere on 7/19, before other dates in Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington D.C. Head here for all upcoming dates.

MUTUAL BENEFIT

Mutual Benefit, the project of singer-songwriter Jordan Lee, released Thunder Follows The Light last year, and he’ll be bringing those songs across North America this summer. The tour kicks off in Boston, and hits other cities like Brooklyn (Mercury Lounge on 8/15), Los Angeles, Philly, Washington D.C., Chicago, Montreal, Austin, Detroit, and more. Tickets to all dates go on sale Friday (6/7) at 10 AM EST. Before this tour, Mutual Benefit will also play a DJ set opening for GABI at Union Pool in June. BLINK-182 / LIL WAYNE

blink-182 and Lil Wayne expanded their co-headlining tour, including a new date at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in September.

PIXIES

Pixies have announced a 2019/2020 world tour behind their just-announced LP Beneath the Eyrie.

MATT AND KIM

Brooklyn duo Matt and Kim first broke into the mainstream with their 2009 sophomore album Grand (best known for its very popular single “Daylight”), and the band will be playing the album in full on tour beginning in October, celebrating its 10th anniversary. Stops include Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, Nashville, Philly, Boston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and many others, before two final hometown NYC dates at Terminal 5 on 11/24, and Brooklyn Steel on 11/25. Tickets to all dates go on sale Friday (6/7) at 10 AM local time. Before the anniversary tour, the duo will also be making a stop at Asbury Park, NJ’s Sea.Hear.Now Festival in September. JESSE MALIN

Jesse Malin will release his new album, Sunset Kids, on August 30 on Wicked Cool Records which features appearances from Lucinda Williams, Billie Joe Armstrong, and more. Jesse’s on a UK tour in this month but has a few North American shows as well, including Nashville this week and a big NYC record release show on September 14 at Webster Hall with Alejandro Escovedo, Tommy Stinson, Joseph Arthur, and Matthew Ryan. Jesse will also play the Outlaw Country Cruise in early 2020.

BON IVER

Along with releasing two new singles, Bon Iver announced new tour dates with openers Yo La Tengo, Feist, and Sharon Van Etten on select dates.

TYLER, THE CREATOR

Tyler, The Creator announced a massive 2019 tour behind this year’s IGOR, including a stop at NYC’s Madison Square Garden.

THE 5.6.7.8.’S
Tokyo-based garage/surf trio The 5.6.7.8’s, who are probably best-known for their appearance in Kill Bill Vol. 1, just wrapped up a short U.S. tour but will be back this summer, including two NYC-area shows at Asbury Park, NJ’s Hi-Tide Summer Holiday on 8/17, and Brooklyn Bazaar on 8/18 (w/ Metalleg). The band also has shows San Francisco and Seattle later in August. View all upcoming dates here.

MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000

Mystery Science Theater 3000 announced ‘The Great Cheesy Movie Circus Tour’ beginning in September, and is promoted as being creator Joel Hodgson’s final MST3K live tour.

TED LEO / CONTROL TOP

Ted Leo is touring this summer, including several Pharmacists shows with Control Top, hitting Philadelphia, Columbus, Pittsburgh, DC, and Jersey City.

STRAND OF OAKS

Strand of Oaks announced a fall tour behind this year’s excellent Eraserland.

TORCHE / WEAR YOUR WOUNDS

Torche will play several US shows with Wear Your Wounds in August, following their run with Baroness this summer.

KIMYA DAWSON / YOUR HEART BREAKS / SHELLSHAG

Kimya Dawson announced a pair of NYC-area dates in September, with openers Your Heart Breaks and Shellshag.

CROWBAR

Following their tour with Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar will play a headlining show in NYC at Queens’ Blackthorn 51 in August.

NECROFEST

Necrofest is a new metal, punk, and hip hop festival happening in Brooklyn this September, with a lineup featuring PLF, Cannabis Corpse, Horrendous, Taphos, Ruinous, Heinous, and more.
