tours announced: Oh Land, Jeremy Dutcher, Cherry Glazerr, Abyssal, more
OH LAND / ARTHUR MOON
Copenhagen artist Oh Land just released her new Doveman-produced, album Family Tree (stream it below) and she's just announced a North American tour. That kicks off September 23 in Toronto, then hits Brooklyn (9/24 @ The Bell House), Philly, DC, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles. All date, which are with Arthur Moon, are here.
ABYSSAL / TCHORNOBOG
UK dark ambient death metal band Abyssal release their highly anticipated fourth album on June 21, via Profound Lore (their 2015 album Antikatastaseis was one of the best death metal releases of that year, and their 2018 split with Carcinoma was not so shabby either). A new track dropped today, and maybe they'll preview some more new ones at the four U.S. shows they're playing this week including Maryland Deathfest and the previously-mentioned MDF-presented show at Brooklyn Bazaar with French black metallers Merrimack, Deletere, and the great Tchornobog (who is their tourmate for their 3 non-MDF shows). All dates and the new song at Invisible Oranges.
Cherry Glazerr continue to be on tour supporting this year's Stuffed & Ready, and this weekend play Santa Fe's Oasis Festival. They've got dates throughout the summer, including stops in Vegas, L.A., Indianapolis, Asheville, Nashville, and festival stops at Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and ACL. They'll also open for Café Tacvba at Hollywood Bowl in September. All dates are here and check out the new Reggie Watts remix of "Daddi."
The utterly unique Jeremy Dutcher, whose album Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa won the 2018 Polaris Music Prize, will be on tour this summer and while most dates are in his native Canada, he is dipping below the border for a few West Coast shows, including San Francisco on June 29 and Los Angeles on July 6. He'll also be on an orchestral Canadian tour this fall. All dates are here and watch his NPR Tiny Desk concert below:
