THE ROLLING STONES

After needing to postpone their 2019 North American tour due to Mick Jagger’s health, The Rolling Stones are now ready to get back on the road and announced rescheduled dates, beginning in Chicago in June. As you can see, Mick Jagger is already back on his feet:

OZZY OSBOURNE

Speaking of rescheduled tours from rock legends, Ozzy Osbourne had to reschedule his 2019 tour for 2020 due to injury, and while the rescheduled Hollywood Bowl date was initially TBA, it has now been announced for July 27, 2020. All dates (including MSG on June 22, 2020) here.

THE BLACK KEYS, MODEST MOUSE, SHANNON & THE CLAMS

The Black Keys and Modest Mouse are touring all over North America before the end of the year right after The Black Keys play Vegas’s Life is Beautiful in September. Part of the run is with Brooklyn singer Jessy Wilson (Barclays Center in Brooklyn included). Shannon & The Clams becomes 1st-of-3 on the bill for the final leg which starts in Florida and hits The Forum in Los Angeles along the way. Tickets are on sale.

GLASSING

Austin post-hardcore/atmospheric black metal blenders Glassing are releasing their new album Spotted Horse this Friday via Brutal Panda. We recently wrote about it on Invisible Oranges, and now the whole album is streaming. PHOSPHORESCENT

Phosphorescent just released a new video for “C’est La Vie No. 2” off their great 2018 album C’est La Vie, and they’ve also announced more tour dates supporting the album. They’re playing Newport Folk Fest, Outside Lands, Firefly, and other festivals, plus shows in Louisville, Buffalo, Burlington, Pittsburgh, and more. All dates here.

VIAGRA BOYS

Swedish dystopian/sarcastic punks Viagra Boys recently wrapped up their first North American tour and they’ll be back in the U.S. to play Oregon festival Pickathon in August. On their way there, they’ll stop in NYC to play Bowery Ballroom on July 28 (tickets on sale 5/17 at noon). All tour dates are here.

B BOYS (WEST COAST W/ BODEGA)

Brooklyn’s B Boys are back with their third album of mutant punk, Dudu, which is out July 26 via Captured Tracks. You can listen to “I Want,” which features former Pill singer Veronica Torres, below. The band are also will be on tour this summer, including West Coast dates with Bodega and a Brooklyn record release show at Union Pool on August 11 as part of the venue’s free Summer Thunder series. They’ve also just announced a fall North American tour, hitting most major cities in the U.S. and Canada. All dates are here.

WOLFMOTHER

Australian retro rockers Wolfmother (led by frontman and only original member Andrew Stockdale) have announced a return to the Northeast, hitting Philly’s Underground Arts on 6/9, NYC’s Irving Plaza on 6/10, Asbury Park’s Stone Pony on 6/11, and DC’s 9:30 Club on 6/12. Those shows are in addition to several other dates worldwide. All dates and tickets here.

TYLER CHILDERS

Country singer Tyler Childers announced a new album (co-produced by Sturgill Simpson) and he added several tour dates in support of it, including two Brooklyn Steel shows and much more.

KIKAGAKU MOYO

Japanese psych band Kikagaku Moyo will be here for shows this summer, including a few with Khruangbin, and will be back again this fall for more dates around Austin’s Levitation fest.

HATCHIE

Australian dreampop artist Hatchie is gearing up to release her debut album, and has announced a North American tour for September and October. She’ll be in NYC before that, though, as she’ll open for Japanese Breakfast at SummerStage in Central Park.

OMB PEEZY

Alabama rapper OMB Peezy recently released his new mixtape Preacher To The Streets (ft. T.I., G-Eazy, Boosie Badazz, Sada Baby, and Lil Durk) and he’s gearing up to support the album with some shows. He’ll stop in NYC to play SOB’s on June 10, and he also has shows in Philly, Atlanta, and more.

CHOKING VICTIM

NYC ska-core vets Choking Victim expanded their 2019 schedule to now include two rare NYC shows, including a newly-added show with The World/Inferno Friendship Society and other bands.

OF MONSTERS AND MEN

Iceland’s anthemic folk rockers Of Monsters and Men are releasing their new album Fever Dream on July 26 via Republic. The first single is “Alligator,” which isn’t nearly as folky as the band once was but definitely qualifies as “anthemic.” They just performed it on Fallon last night and you can watch that and hear the album version below. The band also announced a North American tour, kicking off in DC on September 4 and hitting NYC’s Radio City the next night. The tour also hits Boston, Philly, Toronto, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, LA (two nights at the Palladium), San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, and more. All dates and tickets here.

QUINN CHRISTOPHERSON

NPR announced Quinn Christopherson as the winner of this year’s Tiny Desk Contest today, which also means Quinn is the headliner of the “Tiny Desk Contest on the Road” tour in June, including Baby’s All Right on June 25. Tour dates will include performances from “some amazing artists of the Tiny Desk Contest community” along with a set from Quinn, whose winning entry you can watch below.
