MISFITS

The Misfits (reunited with Glenn Danzig, Jerry Only, and Doyle) have five shows coming up, and tickets for the newly-added Madison Square Garden show with Rancid and The Damned are still on BrooklynVegan presale until 10 PM Eastern tonight (password = BVCASUALTY).

IRON MAIDEN

It was announced much earlier this year, but heavy metal legends Iron Maiden finally begin their North American “Legacy of the Beast” tour tonight. The kickoff show is in Sunrise, FL, and Maiden also have two shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center plus dates in DC, Philly, Boston, Hartford, Montreal, Toronto, Nashville, Chicago, Portland, Las Vegas, LA, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Mexico City, and more.

POST MALONE / SWAE LEE

The ever-popular Post Malone and his “Sunflower” collaborator Swae Lee (of Rae Sremmurd) have expanded their already-massive tour together, adding a second Madison Square Garden show. (They play there 10/14 & 10/15.) All dates here.

ROBYN

Robyn has returned to the US for a brief tour, which started last night in Philly. That show was with post-punk/hip hop icons ESG, who also open Friday’s Brooklyn show at Barclays Center (tickets). After that, Robyn heads to Chicago for Pitchfork Festival, which she headlines on Sunday. From there it’s onto the West Coast, where she has to California shows lined up: San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Thursday 7/25 (tickets, and Los Angeles’ The Forum on Saturday 7/27 (tickets). Both CA shows are with Troye Sivan.

THROWING MUSES / KRISTIN HERSH

Throwing Muses, who are playing The Cure’s Pasadena Daydream festival in August, have added a few warm-up shows, playing two nights at Boston’s City Winery on August 23 & 24, then San Diego’s Soda Bar on August 30. Frontwoman Kristin Hersh will head out on a solo tour after that where she’ll be backed by with Fred Abong and Rob Ahlers and includes stops in Phoenix, Denver, Albuquerque, Omaha, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and more. MADBALL / CRO-MAGS JM

Two veteran NYHC bands, Madball and Cro-Mags JM (John Joseph and Mackie’s band), have two hometown shows together this fall. Cro-Mags JM are also on tour with Clutch and Killswitch Engage now.

DEATH VALLEY GIRLS

Death Valley Girls are on tour this summer with Distillers but have a few headlining shows along the way like Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on August 20 which hits right after Distillers’ show in Asbury Park. Head here for all tour dates.

STEVE GUNN

Steve Gunn has been on it for most of this year supporting his excellent new album The Unseen Inbetween and his tour continues this summer, including a few dates with Bill MacKay, a show at Brooklyn’s Industry City on August 3 with Hand Habits (tickets), and a free solo show in Montauk on August 17 as part of Murmrr’s Summer Series. Then in the fall he’ll play solo, opening a few West Coast dates of Dinosaur Jr.’s tour.

MAT KEREKES (of CITIZEN) / SHORTLY / etc

Citizen frontman Mat Kerekes has announced a headlining tour, and direct support on the first leg comes from Triple Crown-signed singer/songwriter Shortly (who Mat has collaborated with). Teamonade are also opening all dates, and the second leg has direct support from Motherfolk. The leg with Shortly hits Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on 9/24. All dates here.

KORN / ALICE IN CHAINS

Korn’s tour with Alice In Chains begins in Austin tonight, and in conjunction with the tour kicking off, Korn have shared the video for “You’ll Never Find Me” off their upcoming album The Nothing. The tour includes a few NYC-area shows in August; all dates here.

MITSKI

Mitski is in the midst of her final leg of dates before she takes an extended break from touring. She has a few North American festivals lined up, including Lollapalooza and Osheaga, and overseas dates through August. After those, she returns to NYC for what she’s calling her “last show[s] indefinitely,” September 7-8 at SummerStage in Central Park with Lucy Dacus. Night 1 is sold out, but tickets to night 2 are still on sale, and we’re also giving away a pair.

ANDERS OSBORNE

Singer-songwriter Anders Osborne is on tour right now, play shows in Connecticut this weekend and into the fall with stops in St. Louis, Park City, Telluride, Key West, Tampa, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Denver, NYC (Brooklyn Bowl on December 13 & 14). Head here for all dates.

LIGHTNING BOLT

Providence noise rock vets Lightning Bolt are playing shows this year, including an outdoor NYC show, the Desert Daze and Denver Hex festivals, and more.

RODRIGO Y GABRIELA

Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela released a new album, Mettavolution, in April, and the North American leg of their tour supporting it wraps up this month, including dates in Los Angeles (on July 23 at The Greek Theatre), San Diego, Reno, Aspen, and more. In September their tour resumes with dates in Europe and the UK; see all of their dates here.
