PRIMUS

Primus have already done a lot of touring this year, and now they announced one more leg of dates for late summer and early fall, including stops in San Antonio, Ashville, Louisville, Denver, and more. All dates and tickets here.

THE DOOBIE BROTHERS FULL ALBUM SHOWS

The Doobie Brothers wrap up their tour with Steely Dan tonight at NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center tonight, but have just announced a pair of shows at Beacon Theater in NYC where they’ll play 1972’s Toulouse Street on November 15 and 1973’s The Captain and Me on November 16. (They’ll also play “select hits” in addition to the LPs).  “I’ve always been curious how people would react to hearing them played live in an album sequence as opposed to the way you’d normally play (the songs) live, ’cause it’s a different thing altogether listening to a record as opposed to a live performance,” founding member Tom Johnston told Billboard. “And then there’s a lot of deep cuts that we don’t normally play. I think that’s the most interesting part for people because everybody’s heard the hits. And there’s some of them that we’ve never played, which is really making this interesting for us.” Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday, July 20 at 10 AM. All tour date are listed here.
