RAPHAEL SAADIQ

R&B veteran Raphael Saadiq has been at it for decades, and he remains very active and very relevant today. He’s a key collaborator on Solange’s latest album and he’s the composer for HBO’s Insecure. In addition to playing Pitchfork Festival this year, he’ll go on short July tour including a Lincoln Center Out of Doors show on July 25 at Damrosch Park Bandshell in NYC. All dates HERE.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE

My Bloody Valentine have added a couple more dates to thier 2018 summer tour, including second shows in Oakland and Chicago. Their 8/1 show at NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom is sold out (no additional NYC date added… yet at least). .

ANGEL OLSEN with JULIANNA BARWICK, HAND HABITS, DICK STUSSO

Angel Olsen announced her first solo tour in four years, including varying support from Julianna Barwick, Hand Habits and Dick Stusso.

DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE

There’s a new Death Cab album on the way in August, and they’ll be touring with Charly Bliss this fall including two nights at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre.

BLACK MILK

Detroit rapper Black Milk recently released his new album FEVER and today he expanded his tour in support of it. It includes international dates from this month through July, including a Brooklyn show on 7/13 at Rough Trade. All dates and tickets HERE. Stream his new album:

MEWITHOUTYOU / TIGERS JAW

mewithoutYou announced co-headlining shows with Tigers Jaw for June. Tigers Jaw begin their tour with The Wonder Years, Tiny Moving Parts and Worriers this week.

MARISSA NADLER / SERPENTWITHFEET

Marissa Nadler and serpentwithfeet both have upcoming shows, including one together in Yonkers.

DEPECHE MODE / EMA

After doing so in Europe, EMA will now also open for Depeche Mode in North America.

THE BREEDERS

The Breeders’ tour is currently in NYC and they’ve added more dates, including visits to the 2018 ACL Fest.

JULIE BYRNE / BING & RUTH

Folk singer Julie Byrne released her great new album Not Even Happiness last year on Ba Da Bing, and she’s doing more touring this year in support of it. We recently mentioned her dates with Vagabon, and her appearances at FORM Arcosanti, Pitchfork Fest, and NYC’s The Hum, and she has now added a Brooklyn show for July 1 at National Sawdust with ambient ensemble Bing & Ruth and a DJ set from Yumi Zouma. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (5/4) at 10 AM. All Julie Byrne dates HERE. Bing & Ruth also play FORM and have other dates of their own, which are listed HERE.

GOATWHORE / ARCH ENEMY

New Orleans black/death vets Goatwhore are opening the Satyricon tour this month, and today they announced that they’ll also open Arch Enemy’s North American tour in the fall, including Long Island, New Haven, Poughkeepsie, NJ, and many other cities. All dates and tickets here. Last year, Goatwhore released their new album Vengeful Ascension.

GOGOL BORDELLO

Gypsy punks Gogol Bordello are usually busy on tour and now is no exception as their European leg kicks off this weekend. Currently they only have one North American show on their schedule: NJ’s Asbury Lanes in June.

TALL JUAN RESIDENCY AT TRANS PECOS

Garage rockers Tall Juan and his band will be performing four nights this month at Ridgewood’s Trans Pecos: May 5 with Animal Show and Dead Poets; May 11 with Better Head and Francie Moon; May 19 with Fruit & Flowers and Adore Acevedo; and May 27 with “Mystery Guests.” Tickets are on sale.

STARCRAWLER

If there’s one thing L.A.’s glammy rockers Starcrawler are known for its their wild live show, with singer Arrow de Wilde really giving her all. You can watch a new video for “Loves Gone Again,” which was filmed at shows in Tokyo, below. One of the more talked about bands at SXSW, Starcrawler are playing a few Northeast shows ahead of their European tour (which begins with Primavera Sound). They’ll hit Brooklyn’s Elsewhere Zone One on May 15 (tickets). All dates are listed here.
