SHAMIR opening for SLEATER-KINNEY

Still no word on who will be drumming for Sleater-Kinney on their upcoming tour, but they did just announce openers. Some dates are with Shamir (including the NYC shows) and others are with Kaina. All dates here. They also put out a new video for “Can I Go On,” one of the best songs on their new album The Center Won’t Hold.

BOB SEGER

Bob Seger has once again expanded his farewell tour, and the newly-added dates include NYC’s Madison Square Garden on October 30. He also added shows in Boston, Philly, and Toronto. All dates and ticket info here.

BITCHIN BAJAS opening for STEREOLAB

Stereolab’s reunion tour is about to hit North America later this month, and they just added a very cool (and very trippy) opener to most dates, Bitchin Bajas (including the NYC shows). The Bajas also have other dates before and after that tour. All are listed here.

HAND HABITS (OPENING FOR WHITNEY, ALDOUS HARDING, SYLVAN ESSO)

Hand Habits will be on the road with Whitney starting next week, including the two shows at Brooklyn Steel on 10/3 & 10/4. After that, Meg will be out with Aldous Harding for West Coast dates, and will also play two shows with Sylvan Esso at Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Concert Hall in November. All dates are listed here. Danny Brown officially announced his new album today, along with a fall North American tour.

 

ADULT SWIM FEST ADDITIONS (LEIKELI47, HELADO NEGRO, MORE)

The 2019 Adult Swim Fest happens November 15 & 16 in Los Angeles and they’ve just added a few more artists to the lineup: Helado Negro, Ladies of LCD Soundsystem (aka Nancy Whang and Gavin Rayna Russom), ‘The Last Stream on the Left’ podcast and Leikeli47. They join previously announced artists like Dethklok, Jamie xx, Vince Staples, Young Thug, Tierra Whack, Lil Nas X and more.

LITURGY

Liturgy just released their first new song in four years today, they’re about to debut more new music live at Brooklyn’s Market Hotel tomorrow, and they’re touring the West Coast after that.

DEAD & COMPANY

Dead & Company have expanded their Fall Fun Run, adding two shows at Nassau Coliseum, making for a total of four NYC-area shows.

SUDAN ARCHIVES

Sudan Archives is gearing up to release her anticipated debut album on Stones Throw, and she is playing NYC and LA shows ahead of a European tour.
