Rufus Wainwright already has a pair of intimate "Oh Solo Wainwright: An Evening with Rufus" solo shows at NYC's City Winery on May 29 and 30, and he's just announced he'll be taking this format on a full tour this summer. After the NYC dates, he'll be playing two Long Island solo shows, happening at Amagansett's The Stephen Talkhouse on 8/11, and Port Washington's Landmark on Main Street on 8/29, before further stops in Toms River, South Orange, Santa Fe, Buffalo, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Alexandria, and more. ASTRONOID / INFINITY SHRED
Hazy metal outfit Astronoid dropped their great self-titled album back in February, and they’ve just announced an East Coast tour behind the LP, with support from NYC synth trio Infinity Shred on all dates. There’s a show at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on 6/28, and further shows in Chicago, Philly, Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Buffalo, Pontiac, and Providence. All dates here.
SPEEDY ORTIZ (OPENING FOR INTERPOL)
Next month, Interpol will play a few Southeastern tour dates behind last year's Marauder (and upcoming A Fine Mess EP), and it was recently announced they'll have some pretty awesome support from Speedy Ortiz at these shows. The two bands will be teaming up for dates in Charleston, Jacksonville, St. Petersburg, Miami, and Orlando. Find those dates here.
Weyes Blood released the cinematic, lush LP Titanic Rising today, and she'll be supporting the record on tour in just a few weeks, beginning with a European leg stretching into early May. After this, she'll tour North America, which includes shows in Chicago, NYC (Music Hall of Williamsburg on 5/29), Philly, Austin, Dallas, Toronto, Montreal, Washington D.C., Phoenix, LA, and lots more. MIRANDA LAMBERT (WITH PISTOL ANNIES, MAREN MORRIS, OTHERS)
Miranda Lambert has twice embarked on a "Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars" tour in the past, and she'll be reviving the name this year. She'll be joined by some notable company for these shows, including her own trio Pistol Annies (with Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley), Maren Morris, Elle King, and others, with lineups varying by date. The tour kicks off in Uncasville, CT in September, before other shows in Grand Rapids, Baltimore, New Orleans, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Orlando, Greensboro, and tons more. Tickets for these shows go on sale next Friday (4/12) at 10 AM local time, with presale info for all dates here.
PISSED JEANS (NYC HEADLINING SHOW DURING MUDHONEY TOUR)
Pennsylvania punks Pissed Jeans will be hitting the road in October with fellow Sub Pop greats Mudhoney, and they've just added their own headlining date at NYC's Brooklyn Bazaar on 6/30, which features support from a pair of Brooklyn-based acts, Bambara and Conduit. This is Pissed Jeans' only headlining show at the moment.
UK metal vets Orange Goblin announced some US dates behind last year's The Wolf Bites Back, marking their first visit stateside in five years. The tour begins at NYC's Gramercy Theatre on 8/27, with further shows in Chicago, Dallas, Austin, and LA, with an additional festival appearance at Tennessee's Muddy Roots on 8/30. The band will be joined by openers The Skull, Mothership, Wo Fat, and Black Cobra in varying cities, with more guests TBA. Head here for tickets and tour dates.
PERRY FARRELL'S KIND HEAVEN ORCHESTRA
Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Farrell will be releasing his guest-filled LP Kind Heaven in June, his first solo LP in 18 years. He'll soon be bringing the record on tour this summer with his Kind Heaven Orchestra backing band, kicking off with a number of shows at NYC's City Winery on June 7, 8, 14, and 15. Perry will be stopping at other City Winery locations too, including the ones in Boston, Washington D.C., Nashville, and Atlanta; with other shows in Philly, Detroit, and Toronto. He'll also be playing Chicago's Lollapalooza in August, which follows some European shows lined up in late June and July. You can find all those dates listed here.
Tayla Parx has had success behind the scenes writing for other artists, having contributed to Janelle Monae's Dirty Computer and Ariana Grande's Thank U, Next, but she also doubles as a great solo act. She wrapped up a tour with Anderson .Paak earlier this year and, in addition to being added to Lollapalooza in August, she'll also be opening Lizzo's upcoming spring tour, which includes three sold-out NYC dates next month. Tayla just added her own headlining show ahead of the tour, happening at NYC's on House of Yes! on 4/9, which is her only headlining date at the moment. LORD DYING / YEAR OF THE COBRA
Lord Dying announced a spring tour with Year of the Cobra, which is in support of their third album, Mysterium Tremendum, out in April.
Phil Collins added a second MSG show to his "Still Not Dead Yet Tour," which begins this September.
