The following new tours were announced. Check the Tour Dates category every day for more.

OSHUN

Neo-soul group OSHUN are one of NYC’s best kept secrets, and as we speak, they’re overseas giving Europe a taste of their excellent live show. When they return, they have four hometown shows: The Hum on 5/23, a Northside show on 6/8 at Knitting Factory, a free SummerStage show opening for Talib Kweli on 6/30 in Betsy Head Park, and MoMA on 8/2. They also recently added a show happening just outside of NYC: 7/26 at Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall (tix on sale 5/11 at 10 AM). All dates HERE. Last month, OSHUN released their new album bittersweet vol: 1, which has a guest spot from Jorja Smith. Listen:

LIFTED BELLS

Lifted Bells is one of the many bands fronted by Bob Nanna (Braid, Hey Mercedes, etc), and tonight (5/9) they begin a tour supporting this year’s Minor Tantrums. They’ve got cool (usually local-ish) openers varying by city, including Gulfer in Montreal, Fire Is Motion in NYC, and Shannon Moser and By Surprise in Philly. All dates HERE.

JEFF ROSENSTOCK

Jeff Rosenstock is staying busy since releasing his great new album POST-, and just announced more dates, including shows with AJJ singer Sean Bonnette and Remo Drive.

THE SMASHING PUMPKINS / METRIC

The Smashing Pumpkins added a few more dates to their sorta-reunion tour (Billy, James, and Jimmy) and they also announced the opener: Canadian alt-pop staples Metric.

CHRISTINA AGUILERA

After announcing a new album and releasing the Kanye-produced lead single, Christina announced her first tour in ten years, including two nights at Radio City. (This means both Christina and Britney do two-night stands at Radio City in 2018.)

LEE BAINS III & THE GLORY FIRES

Alabama rockers Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires, who released double album Youth Detention last year on Don Giovanni, will be on tour starting at the end of this month through most of the summer. dates include a stop at Brooklyn’s Alphaville on June 15 (tickets). Find all their tour dates here.

RYLEY WALKER

Having just wrapped up a tour with Calexico and a new album, Telluride Speed, out next week, Ryley Walker’s 2018 tour schedule is pretty full right up to the holidays. He’s got North American headline dates in December, including Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right on 12/14.

THIS IS NOT THIS IS HEAT

A group a lot of folks thought would never come to America, This is Not This Heat — which is Charles Bullen and Charles Hayward of art rock / post-punk legends This Heat — will be playing Pitchfork Fest in July and will head to NYC for a show at Pioneer Works right after.

WHITE DENIM

Austin rockers White Denim are following 2016’s Stiff with the new album Performance on August 24 via City Slang. You can hear the T Rex-y single “Magazin” below. They’ve also got a bunch of upcoming tour dates, including a June run with Uni that hits Jersey City and Kingston, NY right before White Denim play one of the annual Surf Lodge shows in Montauk on July 1. They also have a September/October tour that includes two nights at NYC’s Brooklyn Bowl (10/11 & 10/12). All dates HERE.
