Several months back, Wilco announced a spring US tour of the Midwest and West, but once that wraps up, the band will stay on the road for a Southern US tour this April. This brief run of shows happens in Memphis, Jackson, Mobile, and St. Augustine, with a presale starting Wednesday (2/4) at 10AM local time (password: JOY), and general onsale starting Friday (2/7) at 10AM local time. After these US shows, the band will also play European dates throughout the summer. Check here for tickets to all upcoming dates.
Trumpter Dan Rosenboom is celebrating the release of his new album Absurd in the Anthropocene at shows in select cities this month, including NYC at Nublu on Thursday, February 6th with saxophonist David Binney, saxophonist Gavin Templeton, guitarist Alexander Noice, keyboardist Jeff Babko, bassist Jerry Watts Jr., and drummer Gary Novak. The album's psychedelic last single "Lemonade" features Gavin Templeton, Tim Conley, Tim Lefebvre, and drummer Zach Danziger going for "a heavy, Soundgarden-esque jam." You can watch its video here:
311 / INCUBUS
Two nu-metal-adjacent-turned-poppier-rock bands who have been undergoing critical reevaluations lately, Incubus (who very recently did a Make Yourself 20th anniversary tour) and 311 (who people say Turnstile sound like), have announced an amphitheater tour together for this summer. The two bands will be joined by relatively newer band Badflower on all dates of the tour, which hits NY (Jones Beach on 8/22), NJ (PNC Bank Arts Center on 8/12), Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Atlanta, Cleveland, Charlotte, Dallas, and much more. ARIEL PINK (NYC SHOWS WITH CMON)
Having sold out his 4/29 Le Poisson Rouge show, Ariel Pink has added a second date in NYC, happening 4/30 at Market Hotel. Both shows are with CMON (Confusing Mix of Naitons), the new group featuring former members of Regal Degal. CMON just signed with Mexican Summer and will release their debut album on April 3 and you can listen to new single "Zoo" below. Ariel Pink plays DC's 9:30 Club right before hitting NYC and also has a couple Miami shows right after (all dates are here). CMON also play LA's Zebulon on 4/24 before heading to NYC.
In addition to their previously announced tour opening for PEARS, Canadian punks single Mothers have now announced headlining tour dates happening in Atlanta, Richmond, Lancaster, Brooklyn (Knitting Factory on 4/29), and Boston. Updated dates here.
BOY HARSHER (ADDED TO OUTLINE SERIES)
The first event in Knockdown Center's new Outline series happens February 29 with John Maus, Ben Lamar Gay, Katie Gately, Patience and more. Boy Harsher have just been added as a headliner and tickets are still available.
Tinashe has announced a spring tour supporting last year's very good Songs For You.
Colombian-born, Toronto-based artist Lido Pimienta will release her third album, Miss Colombia, on April 17 via ANTI-. It’s her first since 2016’s Polaris Prize-winning La Papessa and she'll play select North American dates this spring.

Throwing Muses leader Kristin Hersh will be on the road with former tourmate Grant Lee Phillips and X frontman John Doe starting tonight in Washington, DC. It’s a reprisal of their Exile Follies shows they did years ago. Head here for all dates.

The Portugal edition of Primavera Sound has announced its 2020 edition, the stacked lineup includes headliners Pavement (one of only two reunion shows they'll play this year), Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, Beck, King Krule, and Bad Bunny.
