Towers of London @ Scenic | CMJ 2005 | pics
I started CMJ Day 4 (Saturday Sept. 17, 2005) at 1 PM. Towers of London were scheduled to play the basement of Scenic at 1 AM. They went on at 2. Thirteen hours after I started my fourth day in a row of CMJ shows, Towers of London not only played my favorite CMJ show, but pulled off one of the most legendary performances I've ever been a part of. They're part Sex Pistols, part Motley Crue, the Darkness' evil cousin, more Satan than Satanicide, pure energy, and complete insanity.
I don't know how my camera made it out alive, and I'm not sure how much of the liquid covering my body when I left was sweat, how much was beer, and how much came out of the band members' mouths.

I was talking to the drummer after the show. He was super nice and said they're returning to NYC in November.
The next night they played an unadvertised show at Bar 13. Mike Neuman was there. He wrote a review.
