Toxic Holocaust Primal Future 2019

Toxic Holocaust announce new album 'Primal Future: 2019,' share "Chemical Warlords"

Portland, OR thrashers Toxic Holocaust have announced their first new album in six years, Primal Future: 2019, on October 4 via eOne (their first for the label). First single “Chemical Warlords” is a serious ripper that puts classic thrash, Motorhead, and Venom in a blender, and adds an extra dose of filth on top. Give it a rip below.

The band’s main member, Joel Grind — who’s also a prolific producer/engineer — recorded, mixed, and mastered the album himself. He also played all the instruments himself, like he did in the band’s early days. He explains: “When I started the band in 1999, I never imagined I’d still be doing it in 2019. It’s been a long time coming but the new album is finally ready and it’s sort of a culmination of my past twenty years of doing this band. Most notably, I decided to go back to my roots and record this entire album by myself and play all of the instruments like I did in the early days. It was a lot of fun and nostalgic and at the same time exciting to be able to apply everything I’ve learned over the years.”

The album drops right in the middle of Toxic Holocaust’s run opening GWAR‘s “Use Your Collusion Tour,” which also features reunited thrash legends Sacred Reich (who are prepping their first album in 23 years) and Against The Grain. As mentioned, that tour hits NJ’s Starland Ballroom on October 2 (tickets), NY’s Upstate Concert Hall on October 5 (tickets), and much more. All dates are listed below.
