Indie Pop Prom

TPOBPAH, Sad13, Sports, Half Waif & more playing Indie Pop Prom 5

The fifth annual Indie Pop Prom happens this year, and for the first time ever, it takes place in both Philly and NYC this year. As always, it doubles as the birthday party for show curator Maria Sherman, and this year proceeds go to The Pink Fund, an organization that helps with financial assistance for breast cancer patients.

Both shows will be headlined by The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, who also headlined the very first Indie Pop Prom, and both also feature Sad13 (aka Speedy Ortiz singer Sadie Dupuis) and Sports (who played the third Indie Pop Prom).

Philly, which happens on February 24 at The Church, also has Swanning (aka Cynthia Schemmer of Radiator Hospital) and Mercury Girls. NYC, which happens on 2/25 at Brooklyn Bazaar, also has T-Rexstasy and Half Waif.

Both shows are all ages. Tickets go on sale Friday (1/6) at 10 AM.

In 2015, TPOBPAH released the Hell EP. Watch the video for the title track:
