Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross share their ‘Watchmen’ closing credits theme
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' score for Damon Lindelof's HBO series adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' classic comic Watchmen is terrific, splitting the difference between the more ambient work they've done for films like The Social Network, and the throbbing, dark dance music they make in Nine Inch Nails. One of the most memorable pieces in Sunday night's premiere episode is the end credits theme, which would probably go over well in a club, too. They've just shared the full version of the theme, which extends a good two minutes past the credits (and may be an alternate one used in other episodes, we shall see). You can listen to that in full below.
The first of three volumes of Watchmen's score by Reznor and Ross is out November 4.
