Tribeca Film Fest adds 'Scarface' reunion, 'Westworld' S2 premiere, more
The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival, which runs April 18-29 in New York City, has announced even more programming, including talks, reunions, television related premieres and more.
On the reunion front there’s a 25th anniversary screening fo Schindler’s List on April 26 at Beacon Theatre followed by a talk with director Steven Spielberg and actors Liam Neeson, Sir Ben Kingsley and Embeth Davidtz; a 35th anniversary screening of Scarface on April 19 at Beacon Theatre with a Q&A with director Brian De Palma and actors Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer; and a 25th anniversary restoration premiere of In The Soup at the SVA Theater on April 24 with a Q&A with director Alexandre Rockwell, actors Steve Buscemi, Jennifer Beals, and Sam Rockwell, and cinematographer Phil Parmet.
There are also talks with Robert De Niro & Bradley Cooper, Alec Baldwin & Spike Lee, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jamie Foxx, Alexander Payne, Nancy Meyers and more.
On the Tribeca TV side, the festival will host the NYC premiere of Westworld Season 2, the World Premieres of Netflix documentary Bobby Kennedy for President, Karate Kid sequel Cobra Kai, a new documentary about Freaks and Geeks, the North American premiere of PBS’ new adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women, the World Premiere of the Jay-Z produced documentary Rest In Power: The Trayvon Martin Story, and more.
There is also Tribeca N.O.W. series which “will showcase work from 18 unique online creators who are using their platforms to tell original stories.” Among them, “Crime Cutz,” a a hybrid documentary-music video set to the music of Holy Ghost! You can watch the “Crime Cutz” trailer below.

Schindler’s List – 25th Anniversary

In the Soup – Restoration; 25th Anniversary

Prolific actor, musician, and comedian Jamie Foxx is a Hollywood triple threat. Perhaps his most iconic role as an actor, his portrayal of musician Ray Charles in the biopic Ray, landed him an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a BAFTA in 2005. The very same year, Foxx was nominated for a second Oscar for his acting in the film Collateral, making him only the second man in history to receive two acting Oscar nominations in the same year for two different roles. In addition to film, Foxx is a GRAMMY award-winning musician, producing four albums that have charted the top ten of the US Billboard 200.
