Sunny Balzano, proprietor of the legendary Sunny's Bar in Red Hook, sadly passed away a few weeks ago, and now the bar is throwing a special tribute to the man that doubles as a fundraiser for his funeral costs. The event goes down on April 14 at Pioneer Works in Red Hook, and will feature performances from Smokey’s Round-Up featuring Marc Ribot (who also just had a residency at the bar), Miss Ida Blue, Luna Sisters, Stillhouse Serenade, John Pinamonti, Stevie from St Lou and The Gotham Easy.

There will also be a bunch of good food and booze from some of the better local spots like Hometown BBQ, the Good Fork, Red Hook Lobster Pound, Jalopy, Fort Defiance, and Six Point Brewery, plus Sunny's will have a pop-up bar on site. Tickets are available for a donation of your choice.
