Trust, the nom-de-synth of Toronto artist Robert Alfons, has a new album, Joyland, out in about a month (March 4) and recently released a video for single "Rescue, Mister" which you can watch below. The song, like the whole album, puts a gothy spin on house pop, courtesy Alfons' rather sinister vocal style. If you pre-order Joyland you get an instant download of "Rescue, Mister."

He and the new line-up of the band (now a trio and minus onetime collaborator Maya Postepski) were in NYC over the weekend for a one-off gig at Glasslands (1/14). It was a late show -- the band didn't go on till after 1:30 AM, but the place was packed and bouncing till the end. For those wishing Trust would announce a full tour, you're in luck as they'll be dropping below the Canadian border in April, the first date of which is in NYC at Le Poisson Rouge on April 10. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
