In addition to fronting TV on the Radio, Tunde Adebimpe has a life in film, having appeared in such movies as Rachel Getting Married, Jump Tomorrow, and the upcoming Spider-man: Homecoming. (He was also an animator on MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch.) While in town for this weekend's Afropunk Festival (TVOTR are one of our most-anticipated acts of the fest), Tunde will be at Metrograph on Monday, August 29 talking about the movies that helped shaped his life and art. The event, part of The Modern School of Film’s film discussion-series "In:Pictures", will have him talking about and showing clips from The Empire Strikes Back, Children of Men, and Holy Motors. Also: "perhaps a song." Tickets are on sale.
