Ty Segall announces 2020 tour dates

Ty Segall & The Freedom Band have just announced 2020 tour dates for the fall, beginning September 17 in Oakland, then going across the country and and back, wrapping up October 14 in Solana, CA. Coming off of 2019’s fantastic First Taste, Ty and the band (which includes Mikal Cronin, Shannon Lay, and Charles Moothart) are particularly great these days. Go see ’em if they play near you.

Before that, they’ve got a few dates in May, playing Toronto and Chicago where, like last year, they’ll play First Taste and another Ty record in full. Ty will also play with a newly formed acoustic trio at California shows this week.

There are two NYC shows on the fall tour: Brooklyn Steel on September 30 and October 1. Tickets for those go on AmEx presale at noon, with the general on-sale starting Friday, January 17 at 10 AM.

Meanwhile, Wasted Shirt (aka Ty and Lightning Bolt’s Brian Chippendale) will release their debut album in February and we wouldn’t be surprised if Ty had at least one more record out by the time the fall tour hits.
