Los Angeles DIY venue The Smell is celebrating its 19th anniversary with three shows on January 6 - 8. The shows are also benefits with proceeds going toward the space's relocation fund. (The building The Smell is in has been targeted for demolition.) The biggest of the three happens January 7 at The Belasco Theatre (the other two are at The Smell) with a lineup of No Age, Best Coast, Bleached, Ty Segall, Vice Cooler and a "Special Surprise Guest." Tickets for the Belasco show are on sale now.

Meanwhile, NYC venues Cake Shop and Elvis Guesthouse both have their last nights on New Year's Eve.
