Ty Segall and Wand’s Cory Hanson are old friends, collaborators , and tourmates . They’ve just dropped two songs on Bandcamp, which they note were recorded five years ago and recently rediscovered. “She’s a Beam” sounds like a real melding of their styles — glammy and soaring, and then taking a heavy turn halfway through. You can stream that one below and download both via Bandcamp . 100% of proceeds from the first week of sales benefit Black Lives Matter LA.
This is one of many exclusive releases as part of the latest of Bandcamp’s artist appreciation days where they’re waiving their cut of the profits. Lots of other artists are donating to anti-police-brutality causes too.
