Ty Segall streaming new LP, expands tour, adds third Brooklyn show
Ty Segall's new self-titled album is out on Friday (1/27) via Drag City but you can stream the whole thing right now. At this point, you probably know what to expect from a Ty Segall album -- big riffs, glammy vibes, nods to punk and metal -- but he's still managing to keep quality high. The record is probably at its most memorable on the acoustic songs, like "Take Care (To Comb Your Hair)," "Talkin'" and "Orange Color Queen." Listen to the whole album via NPR below.
Ty is playing record release shows in California this weekend, and his tour gets underway in earnest in the Spring. He's just added a third show at Brooklyn's Warsaw on Friday, May 19. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (1/27) at 10 AM with presales beginning Wednesday (1/25) at 10 AM (presale password: MUSICGEEKS).
