Tyler the Creator played a secret Studio at Webster Hall show with Frank Ocean & A$AP Rocky (watch)

Tyler the Creator stopped in NYC to play a set at Panorama on Friday, but he’s stuck around for a few surprises, too, like an appearance at the second night of Dave Chappelle’s run of shows at Radio City Music Hall. On Thursday (8/3) night, he made another surprise appearance, playing a secret show at The Studio at Webster Hall, where Odd Future made their NYC debut in 2010. This time Tyler performed on the heels of releasing his new album, Scum Fuck Flower Boy. He tweeted that tickets to Thursday’s secret show would be available to people who purchased the first 150 pairs of his collaboration with Converse, One Star x Golf Le Fleur, at Foot Locker in Times Square, NYC. Tyler also brought along some special guests of his own: Frank Ocean (who also played at Panorama) for “Where This Flower Blooms,” and A$AP Rocky, for “Who Dat Boy.” Check out some pictures and video clips below.

UPDATE: A$AP Rocky ALSO made a surprise appearance at another small venue last night, Baby’s All Right, for A$AP Twelvyy’s album release show.

The Studio, like all of Webster Hall, is in the midst of its final run of shows before closing for renovation and a change in management. The last night, The End of an Era, has a still-TBA hip-hop lineup. Tickets for that last show at Webster’s current incarnation went on sale Thursday (8/3), and are now sold out.

Dave Chappelle’s Radio City Music Hall residency still has 13 shows left, not including tonight’s.

A$AP Mob go on tour with Playboi Carti, Key!, and Cozy Boys this fall, including a hometown show on September 25 at Central Park SummerStage (tickets).
