Typesetter releasing ‘Nothing Blues’ (stream a track)
Chicago punks Typesetter released their debut album Wild's End back in 2014, and they since signed to 6131 Records, who will release their sophomore album Nothing Blues on October 26 (pre-order). Going by the new song "Monogamy I (Gliss Happening)," which premieres in this post, this album's a pretty noticeable step up from their debut. It's big-sounding melodic punk that fans of Beach Slang or Jimmy Eat World will probably dig, and like those bands, Typesetter know how to take a familiar sound and make it their own. Listen below.
You can catch Typesetter live at hometown festival Riot Fest in September and Gainesville's The Fest in October.
