Tyvek releasing new LP 'Origin of What' (listen to "Girl on a Bike")

Detroit scuzz-punk vets Tyvek will release their first album in over four years, Origin of What, via In the Red on on November 4. Like on their 2012 album On Triple Beams, the band worked with producer Fred Thomas, initially recording on four-track cassette but then adding further to that, featuring members from the group’s various incarnations over the years. It’s a tense, claustrophobic record and you can check out one of the LP’s poppier moments, “Girl on a Bike,” here:

This is one of three Detroit records being released via In the Red on 11/4: Tyvek frontman Kevin Boyer’s other band, The Intended release Time Will Tell, and Danny & the Darleans (aka Gories singer/guitarist Danny Kroha) will drop Bug Out.
