L.A. Salami is the stage name of London musician Lookman Adekunle Salami (and not, like, some party rock band named after a deli in Silverlake). Mixing folk, blues, and pop into his hyper-verbal style, he would've fit nicely into the scene that gave us Laura Marling, Emmy the Great and Dev Hynes when he was Lightspeed Champion. After two EPs, L.A. Salami released his debut album, Dancing with Bad Grammar, in August via Sunday Best. You can stream that via Spotify, below.

His new single is "Day to Day (6 Days a Week)," a song with time on its mind. Says Salami, "I'm speaking to time, who is in the form of someone I thought I really once loved. Of course, I didn't know what love was, and I've still no idea what time is." We've got the premiere of the song's video, a "self portrait"  based on Andy Warhol's film Vinyl, as well as his Factory portraits. Watch that below.

Currently on tour in the UK and Europe, L.A. Salami doesn't have any immediate plans to visit North America, but perhaps next year. All dates are listed below.
