Ulthar announce tour with Scorched
A sinister debut of crusty, nasty blackened death metal — nothing more, nothing less. Cosmovore is unstoppable (or incessant, depending on your particular point of view), both in terms of sheer intensity and outright speed. There’s nothing frighteningly original here, but it’s definitely well executed, and artfully at that. This one will leave your head spinning afterward, so be prepared.
Invisible Oranges editor Andrew Rothmund wrote the above this past fall about Bay Area death metal crew Ulthar‘s debut album Cosmovore (out now on 20 Buck Spin), and Ulthar have now announced an extensive, 30+ date tour with their likeminded labelmates Scorched (who released Ecliptic Butchery last year) in support of it.
The tour includes stops at Montclair, NJ’s Meatlocker on April 5 and Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus on April 8 (tickets). All dates are listed, with streams of both bands’ 2018 LPs, below.
