Long-running, shapeshifting Norwegian band Ulver have announced their first-ever U.S. show, after 25 years as a band. The band, who have evolved from black metal to trip hop and beyond, will make their U.S. debut in NYC on March 21, 2019 at Irving Plaza, and the show is being presented by our metal sister site Invisible Oranges. IO’s Jon Rosenthal writes:

Following last year’s highly celebrated The Assassination of Julius Caesar, the result of a staggering evolution which led from black metal to neofolk to electronica, rock, and now what they call “electronic rock,” Ulver continue to reaffirm that they are no strangers to the unexpectedness of creativity and life. Visually, Ulver’s live performances are a striking meeting of the band’s own ascetic stage presence and a brilliant light/film display. This will not be a show to miss.

Tickets go on sale Friday (10/5) at 10 AM with an Invisible Oranges presale starting Thursday (10/4) Wednesday (10/3) at 10 AM. Check back here Thursday Wednesday morning for the password.
