Uni (mems GOASTT) release NSFW video for debut single, playing free NYC show
You may remember that Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger's Charlotte Kemp Muhl and guitarist David Strange (ex Courtney Love's band) made a collaborative EP a few years back. That pairing has flowered into an actual band who, along with singer Nico Fuzz, are called Uni. They've only played a handful of shows so far -- you may have seen theme open for The Moonlandingz at Rough Trade -- and will soon release their debut single, "What's the Problem?," via Sean Lennon's Chimera Music.
"What's the Problem?" is glitter-strewn outer space glam, with afterburners set to Saturn. The video, directed by Charlotte, is provocative and definitely NSFW. It premieres in this post and you can watch at your discretion below.
Uni play a free show at Brooklyn's Baby's All Right on August 7 which is early (doors at 6 PM and show at 7 PM). Later that night at Baby's you can see Kyp Malone's band Ice Balloons.
