Union Hall is set to be fully back in business on July 21 after a fire ravaged the upstairs back in March. "As trying as this has been for us, we feel lucky that we are able to reopen and retain what makes Union Hall special," owner Jim Carden said in an official announcement. "We have a few new couches but the same great vibe." New books, too, on the upstairs bar's many shelves which helps give the bar its distinctive look. The official reopening party (7/21) has $3 Sixpoints, giveaways and "other fun surprises." Flyer for the reopening part is below.

The downstairs venue, which didn't get much damage from the fire, reponed back in May, using the patio as a temporary entrance. Tonight (7/7), Union Hall's got Kids in the Hall's Kevin McDonald doing a podcast tapings (you can still get tickets), and on Monday (7/10) there's a double dose of excellent comedy, with an early show of Mike Birbiglia's "Working it Out" series, and then Judd Apatow is doing standup late. Both are sold out, natch.
