U.S. Girls' great new album, In a Poem Unlimited, is out next week via 4AD and if you're in NYC you can get a chance to check it out early with an intimate, very unique listening event on Tuesday, February 6, hosted by the group's chief member, Meg Remy. While details are being kept hush hush, we're told these will not be just the record being played in a room but will be very much in the confrontational style of U.S. Girls' new album. There will be three hourlong events from noon - 4 PM. You can RSVP now.

In A Poem Unlimited is a markedly different record for U.S. Girls, with Meg using a live band for the whole record (previous albums were mostly sample based). You can check out videos for "Velvet 4 Sale," "Mad as Hell," and "Pearly Gates" below.

You can catch U.S. Girls on tour later this year, including SXSW and Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right on April 13 with Gold Dime (tickets). She's touring with an eight-piece band who are really something else. Go see them if you can. Tour dates are here.
