Usher & The Roots played a surprise set at Brooklyn Bowl last night (videos)

Last night, Questlove did his weekly Bowl Train night at Brooklyn Bowl, and as the venue teased on Instagram, he and his band The Roots actually ended up bringing out Usher for a live set. It doubled as a warm-up and a comparatively intimate performance to the one Usher and The Roots will do to headline Philly’s Roots Picnic this Saturday (6/4). Check out videos of them doing “Yeah,” “OMG” and “Adore” below. It looks like it was pretty wild. Were you there?

This was the late show, after the tribute to Prince’s Sign ‘O’ the Times that featured members of Blood Orange, Starchild, Holy Ghost! and more (which was excellent).

Check out the schedule for Roots Picnic, which also includes Future, Leon Bridges, Blood Orange, and more.
