If you're looking for a calmer, more unique festival experience this year, you might consider Le Guess Who? which is held November 8-11 in Utrecht, the Netherlands at venues (and churches and warehouses) all over the picturesque city. The festival invites guest curators every year and this year Devendra Banhart, director/actress Asia Argento, Moor Mother and Sons of Kemet's Shabaka Hutchings will all be presenting artists. Devendra is presenting Vashti Bunyan, Drinks, Roger Eno, Joan of Arc (who he just released a cover of) and more; Asia Argento is presenting The Breeders, Lydia Lunch’s Big Sexy Noise, Psychic Ills and more; Moor Mother is presenting Art Ensemble of Chicago, a collaboration between Saul Williams and King Britt, Egypt's Islam Chipsy & EEK, and more; and Shabaka Hutchings is presenting his group Sons of Kemet, Bo Ningen, and more.

The general program also features performances by Mudhoney, JPEGMAFIA, Serpentwithfeet, Eleanor Friedberger, Colin Stetson, FACS, Hailu Mergia, Jozef van Wissem, Circuit des Yeux (who is presenting ‘Reaching For Indigo: Gaia Infinitus’), and more.
