UK screamo quartet Vales are preparing to release their debut full length this summer via 6131 Records, the label that also put out debuts by Touche Amore and Joyce Manor, and it’s being produced by Alex Estrada, who worked on both of those records as well. The album’s first single, “Scripted,” definitely owes itself to a similar type of post-Envy screamo that Touche Amore (and their friends Pianos Become the Teeth) employ. And if you’re in the (often understandable) school of thought that “all screamo bands sound the same,” don’t sleep on this one. Chlo Edwards is a powerhouse frontwoman and the band bring the kind of undeniable energy that you deserve to get at a hardcore show. Download the new single for free (in exchange for your email address) at bandcamp and stream it below, along with a full set video of a house show they played earlier this month in Sylmar, CA.

Vales are on tour now with San Diego post-hardcore crew My Iron Lung and that tour hits the NYC area TONIGHT (3/28) at The Acheron (57 Waterbury St. in Brooklyn) and Friday (3/29) at Moose Lodge (22 Continental Pl. in Glen Cove, NY). Tickets will be available at the door.

All dates are listed, along with the song stream and video, below…
