Vampire Weekend playing Madison Square Garden in September
Vampire Weekend recently shared two songs off their first album in six years, Father of the Bride, and now they appear to be teasing a massive hometown NYC show. VW frontman Ezra Koenig was at the Knicks vs Heat game at MSG last night, and the arena’s screen zoomed in on him before showing an ad that reads “Vampire Weekend 9.6.19 Madison Square Garden.” Video was captured and posted on MSG’s Twitter and the r/VampireWeekend subreddit. Vampire Weekend’s last proper headlining NYC show was at Barclays Center in 2013.
