Van Morrison releasing a live album, touring, playing Forest Hills Stadium

Van Morrison put out an astonishing amount of great material from the late ’60s to mid ’70s, and all of that classic material fueled an equally classic live album, 1973’s It’s Too Late to Stop Now. That LP is seeing an expanded reissue due out June 10

The collection, It’s Too Late to Stop Now… Volumes II, III, IV & DVD, will feature three previously unreleased concerts recorded at Los Angeles’ the Troubadour, the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and London’s Rainbow as well as a London show filmed for a BBC special that has never been commercially released. They’re also putting out a remastered version of the original LP. Listen to the opening cut from the reissue (via Rolling Stone), a live rendition of Moondance‘s “Come Running.” Live, the song takes on a more hectic feel featuring a choppy piano intro and an energetic Van who even begins scatting at one point.

At the end of May, Van will be touring and there will be a stop at NYC’s Forest Hills Stadium on October 9 where Van’s daughter Shana will open for him. Tickets will be on sale soon at this link. All dates are listed below.
