Verboten owner arrested for writing $31,000 in fraudulent checks
The owners of Williamsburg dance club Verboten were accused of fraud and sued for sexual harassment, then shut down due to nonpayment of taxes but soon reopened after filing Chapter 11. Now co-owner Jen Schiffer has been arrested and charged in connection with writing five fraudulent checks amounting to $31,000, Gothamist reports. This photo is allegedly Schiffer being arrested:
