VHÖL (mem YOB, Agalloch) release Adult Swim single "Dispatch"

The 2016 Adult Swim Singles series is underway, and after releasing a track from DJ Paypal, things have taken a turn for the heavy, as Pacific Northwestern metal supergroup VHÖL have shared a new song called “Dispatch.”

Built around a dirty 70s groove, “Dispatch” is 6-minutes of pure fun. Toning down some of the proggier and thrashier elements that they often play with, this is an excercise in rock and roll scuzz. VHOL (which is built around guitarist/vocalist Mike Scheidt of YOB and ex-Agalloch drummer Aesop Dekker) are perfect for the goofy spirit of Adult Swim, and the new song is definitely a welcome addition to the single series. Listen below.

VHÖL are playing Hopscotch in September.

In related news, Aesop Dekker drummed on Nostalgist‘s newly-released cover of Catherine Wheel’s “Texture.” You can hear that below too (via Noisey).
