Videology location in Williamsburg being replaced by comedy club Old Man Hustle
Williamsburg video-store-turned-bar-and-screening-room Videology closed in October 2018 right before Halloween. A few weeks ago, paper went up over the windows and today, workers took down the silver Videology letters above the storefront. Moving in at 308 Bedford Ave: a second location for Lower East Side comedy bar Old Man Hustle (there’s a temporary sign on the door, currently). No word on an opening date yet, the venue’s socials says “Coming Soon!”
The Lower East Side location of Old Man Hustle, on Essex St, hosts stand-up as well as movie night, so they will probably be making the most of Videology’s existing setup. Will it do well? We’ll see, but this former Videology clerk is happy it’s not turning into a bank.
