Warning

Warning playing 'Watching from a Distance' on US tour (IO Presents)

Patrick Walker’s recently-reformed Warning will play their beloved 2006 album Watching from a Distance — an album that fused doom metal’s staggering weight with the emotive nature of American Music Club-styled singer/songwriter music — in full on a US tour this October, presented by Invisible Oranges.

Patrick revived the project earlier this year to play that same album at the John Baizley-curated Roadburn festival. Warning were then supposed to make it over to the US in June, but unfortunately had to cancel those dates (including Northwest Terror Fest, where they were replaced by Coven). For the October tour, all dates are with Worm Ouroboros. The first leg also has The Body while the other has Thou.

The run with Thou includes a NYC show on October 28 at Le Poisson Rouge. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (7/21) at 1 PM.

Warning also play the MDF-presented Days of Darkness festival in October. Before the tour, they play the stacked Psycho Las Vegas festival and a San Diego show in August. List of all tour dates and the tour poster can be found below.

In the time since Warning’s hiatus, Patrick Walker focused on his slowcore-ish band 40 Watt Sun. Last year, they released Wider Than the Sky, which cracked Invisible Oranges’ best albums of 2016 list.
