Warped Tour, which used to be a punk festival but has since gone almost exclusively tween powerpop and mallcore, are continuing to make strides towards catering to their current audience. If mom and dad aren’t gonna let you go see Black Veil Brides all by yourself, they’re gonna have to come along, and the people at Warped Tour believe they deserve some accommodation. Last year they introduced the Reverse Daycare tent (where parents hang out while their kids watch bands), and now this year they’ve one-upped themselves, allowing any parent bringing a child under 18 to enter the festival for free (via PunkNews).

Warped Tour this year includes Defeater (who you’re better off seeing at This is Hardcore), Kevin Seconds (who’s only playing 3 California dates), and about a total of 1.5 other bands potentially worth seeing in their 100+ band lineup. It comes to the NYC-area on 7/7 at PNC Bank Arts Center, 7/12 at Susquehanna Bank Center, 7/13 at Nassau Coliseum, and 7/14 at Comcast Theatre (tickets).
