Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men

watch an outtake from 'Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics & Men' about recording "C.R.E.A.M."

Sacha Jenkins’ four-part documentary about Wu-Tang Clan, Of Mics and Men, debuted on Showtime earlier this month with an in-depth look at the lives and careers of founding members RZA, GZA, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Inspectah Deck, Raekwon the Chef, U-God, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Masta Killa and Cappadonna through interviews, never-before-seen archival footage and performance clips. The third episode airs this Friday (5/24) on Showtime at 9 PM Eastern, but you can watch the whole thing now on-demand or via the Showtime’s streaming app.

For even more Wu, there’s Hidden Chambers, a series of bonus scenes from the documentary from Mass Appeal. Previous Hidden Chambers clips, which you can watch below, feature Nas, Masta Killa, GZA, Mook, and graffiti artist CES. Today we’re premiering one with Schott Free, former A&R at Loud Records. In it, he reminisces about the recording of “C.R.E.A.M.,” and asking Raekwon on the ferry the next day, “you know you made a classic last night?”

Wu-Tang recently released an EP inspired by the documentary, and they have 36 Chambers 25th anniversary tour dates scheduled through October, including a Brooklyn show at Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk on June 16 (tickets).
